Tom, the problem is their duty is not civilian law enforcement and that is what they are being used for
No they are not
in addition to rounding up "illegals". And they have been rounding up people that are legally here and illegally revoking their status and wisking them away before they get their due process a violation of their constitutional rights and this is often done in violation of existing Federal Court orders
No citizens have been deported
Tom you are wrong about that. People that have a legal right to be here have some of the same rights under the Constitution that citizens do. You may not like that but is the current reality under US law. When ICE deports those people they are violating the law which means they have no credibility as a law enforcement agency.
This is a good read if you really want to know what happens to US Citizens that have been detained by ICE. There have been numerous cases of Hispanics with US ID being detained because the agents claim their ID isn't authentic

They found 170 American citizens that were detained sometimes for days without access to an attorney. I note ICE doesn't release this information so the only way to know who this happens to is if they self-report. I suspect lot of them don't as they fear retaliation. I suggest you read that Tom. American citizens have been beaten after they have unlawfully been detained.
