Either way......the shooter wasn't trying to hit the teleprompter.   There are people dead......

All significant leaders in the Democratic Party are already on record denouncing the shooting and making it clear violence has no place in our discourse,   

you can contrast that with the Stand up comedy act Trump does when he jokes about Nancy Pelosi's husband getting attacked with a hammer.

  I stand corrected - President Trump was shot AT, and luckily was not directly hit because the bullet hit the teleprompter which was shattered, cutting him on the side of his head. It has been reported that if the bullet had of been an inch or two to the left or right, it would/could have hit his head. 

Sort of like the von Stauffenberg failed attempt to blow up Hitler. Apparently, Hitler or an aide moved the bomb briefcase to the other side of a table support, providing Trump, er, Hitler, with just enough shielding to save him.

This will go down as a dark day in American history. Because the shooter missed.
