I'll buy it, that her "there will be shots fired tonight" was a poorly timed 'joke' related to the White House Correspondents Dinner, that since Trump was attending there would be barbs exchanged among the them.

It's a conspiracy theory spreading in the MAGA community.

You may not have seen that Trump posted on Lies Social that rather than the traditional joking and light-hearted ribbing, his speech there was going to be a vicious and prolonged attack on all the journalists who he claimed were his enemies. He was planning a hour-plus long profanity-filled diatribe.
That's what that phrase she said meant.
Post the Truth Social link that you are referencing for verification. According to Google ---- Based on reporting as of April 26, 2026, Donald Trump did not post on Truth Social that his speech was a "vicious and prolonged attack" on journalists.

Yep it is but when you build a movement based on conspiracies, you prime people to crave them and accept the most outlandish claims as fact.
Birtherism, the 2020 election was rigged and all the outlandish conspiracies that went along with that, people eating cats, almost anything to do with Hunter Biden to name just a few.
Now conspiracies are starting to destroy the MAGA movement. Just look at Turing Point. All the conspiracies about Erika Kirk have killed that organization and it doesn't look like it is going to recover.
Then you have social media which spreads conspiracy theories like a wildfire as they produce the most engagement.
When one party campaigns using conspiracy theories to win elections and build a movement, MAGA, based on those conspiracies those same folks shouldn't be surprised when that conspiracy mongering turns on them.
if you want to think of it in biblical terms, it's the old sow the wind and reap the Whirlwind.

What would constitute "proof" in Tom-logic Land?

Most any reasonable interpretation regarding what Leavitt said would conclude that she was referring to Trump's scheduled speech barbs towards the media members. It's all fodder beyond that.
