In today's polarized climate, most presidents are going to be somewhat unpopular. So a better comparison would be Biden's popularity now with Trump's at the same point in his presidency.

I could care less about Trumps polling numbers at any time during his presidency as I didn't vote for him, what I'm pointing out is Biden's popularity with the majority of Americans, and I believe it won't bode well for the democrats in the mid terms, Biden may not even run in 2024 so comparing his poll numbers to any challenger in the 2024 election is a mute point
