As Trump prepared to reopen the government they shut down, Democrats on the Oversight Committee grasped for a distraction Wednesday and landed on three stray Epstein emails. The committee released three messages — out of more than 23,000 provided by Jeffrey Epstein’s estate — and tried to spin them into yet another narrative. But the full documents, released hours later by Chairman James Comer and House Republicans, show the same pattern Americans have seen for nearly a decade: Democrats withholding exculpatory facts to push a political hit job.The key email Democrats spotlighted was a 2011 note from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell complaining that “that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump,” followed by a claim that a victim had “spent hours at my house with him.” What Democrats didn’t say is that the victim was Virginia Giuffre — the one Epstein accuser who repeatedly stated, under oath and in writing, that Trump never abused her, never behaved inappropriately, and certainly never participated in Epstein’s crimes. In a 2016 deposition, Giuffre said Trump “never flirted with me” and “didn’t partake in any sex with us.” In her memoir, she wrote that Trump was nothing but respectful when she worked at Mar-a-Lago as a teenager before Maxwell recruited her. She died by suicide earlier this year, and Democrats are now weaponizing her tragedy against the very man she publicly cleared. That missing context wasn’t an oversight — it was the point. And it wasn’t the only omission. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt reminded reporters Wednesday that Trump threw Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago decades ago “for being a creep to his female employees, including Giuffre.” Even Epstein himself hinted that Trump may have been the one who alerted police. At the time of that 2011 email, Epstein was facing mounting legal exposure, and just two weeks later, Palm Beach police received the first tip that launched the investigation into Epstein’s abuse of minors. The timing has fueled years of speculation that Trump’s call helped trigger the case, which, if anything, explains Epstein’s cryptic complaint far better than the Democrats’ narrative. The other two emails Democrats circulated were even weaker. In one, Epstein responded to author Michael Wolff — a man whose books have been riddled with provable falsehoods — who had been fishing for dirt on Trump in 2019. Epstein wrote that “of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop,” which lines up with what is already reported: Trump was furious about Epstein and Maxwell approaching girls at Mar-a-Lago and wanted it stopped. The third email was Wolff advising Epstein in 2015 on how to set a political trap for Trump during an upcoming CNN interview. Wolff suggested that if Trump denied visiting Epstein’s properties, Epstein could use it to “hang him” and even leverage “a debt” if Trump ever won. CNN never asked the question, and Wolff’s latest book barely cracked 13,000 sales — a testament to how little credibility he has left. All of this dropped on the same day Trump reopened the government and pulled the country out of a Democrat-driven shutdown. That’s why they’re scrambling with this nonsense — they can’t stand that he’s delivering while they’re flailing. -- https://mxmnews.com/article/5799d04b-f0fb-4324-b03a-123f2544adfc?democrats-roll-out-a-new-epstein-distraction
