Well, the one undeniable thing about the Americans there in Afghanistan is that they are still there and the taliban will not allow them to depart, according to Secratery of State Anthony Blinken (said today), because the taliban state that some of the passengers (Americans) do not have the proper documentation. Could it be that the real reason is that the taliban want something in exchange for these Americans? Whatever the real reason, the truth of this matter will eventually be known.
