I prefer to avoid war, even if we would win, because people on the winning side still die, the winning side still depletes resources that could have been used to benefit its people, and huge sums of money are spent.
I also take no joy in the idea of slaughtering millions of people in the process of "winning," which you justify by calling them "evil."
The vast majority of the people who died at Hiroshima and Nagasaki were ordinary civilians just trying to live their lives. We dropped the bombs on them because we preached that they were subhuman and killing them would be fun.
