Dick Cheney will be voting for Harris

Former Vice President Dick Cheney, one of the most hardline conservatives in U.S. politics in the 2000s, is voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and the Democratic ticket this fall, his daughter Liz Cheney confirmed in an interview on Friday.

The number of Republican apostates is shocking low, though. 99 percent are still fervent cult members.

Thats a damn good reason not to vote for Harris.  Just think, you're now on the same team as warmonger Dick Cheney. (you remember...the guy Democrats used to call a Nazi).   Unfortunately much of the Democrat party has become the party of warmongers owned by the Millitary Industrial complex.  Neocons and Neolibs woking together to promote forever wars.

Ironically, it's Trump who will immediately seek peace while Democrats and neocon Republicans are happy to spend hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to fight to the last Ukrainian. Are you sure you're on the right team?  I'll take Tulsi and RFK Jrs. endorsement over Dick and Liz any day.  I think you might too if you really thought about it.

I think it shows how low the Republican party has sunk.   It is so bad that not even a rock-ribbed conservative like Cheney can support it. Trump is not a conservative and he never has been.  He is an opportunist looking to make a buck and he has found his suckers in the MAGA movement.

"Mike Drop!"

Excellent post, Mark.

The governor’s older brother, Jeff Walz of Freeport, Florida, in which he said of his younger sibling: “The stories I could tell. Not the type of character you want making decisions about your future.” The 67-year-old also wrote that he was “100% opposed to all his ideology” and had thought about endorsing Trump

So Governor Walz has a close relative who is a bitter MAGA type who says nasty things about him without any specifics.

In other words, Walz is just like EVERY liberal guy from Nebraska.

What of it? Most of us have at least one insane/evil/stupid/fuckface/fascist/moron somewhere in the family.

Anywaay, Tom, feel free to vote for the rapist/con man/thief/traitor/convicted felon you admire. I doubt that your post is going to make any of us do the same, though.

That's a really good point, and something that many people don't consider. Trump chose to go "conservative" rather than "liberal" (it would have been phony either way) because he shrewdly perceived--give the devil his due--that conservatives would be easier to scam. He certainly was right, and he played them brilliantly.

Trump's long con has been the most successful in American history. He's pretty much an idiot savant; he knows how to scam, but he doesn't know how to read or anything like that. Give a guy like that a huge bag of money, and theere's no limit to how far he can go.
