Disney yanks Kimmel's show following backlash over Charlie Kirk assassination remarks

You miss my point in that both sides contribute to the conflict. Both sides err in their inflamed rhetoric in efforts to achieve political points / superiority. You're not intellectually honest enough to admit that..like yourself many on both sides just participate with despisement and lack of willingness to compromise. Typically, your first knee-jerk response is to insult, accuse, and attempt to bait somebody into a tornadic and endless argument loop that ultimately results in the same stagnant outcome. Don't you have a wall to paint or a lawn to mow? What do you accomplish with that approach? Whom have you swayed with your argument methods? How many converts have you recruited here? Zero, but carry on. You're on your own.

My point was that the rhetoric is NOT equal. Do "both sides" fervently support a con man, rapist, and serial liar? Did "both sides" run an election campaign based on immigrants eating cats? Do "both sides" violate the Constitution on a daily basis?

But hey, I get it. False equivalence argument. "Them too, them too, them too!" It's comforting for you, like all rationalizations. Cheap weed to smoke.

I can tell that you're ashamed of yourself for supporting the Turd and his cult, so I'm going to leave you to wallow in it.

Oh, and converts? I could care less. Anyone who goes MAGA has deleted themselves from the human race. I would no more want them on my side than I would want a former SS concentration camp guard to work at my local hospital.

I didn't see the Kimmel show.  Can anyone provide a link?  At least the monologue?

From NEW YORK DAILY NEWS:  "One of the most evident distinctions between a free country and one ruled by a totalitarian government is the ability to make light of its leaders."

Every day there are editorial cartoons of Trump, none very flattering.  Will our newspapers be next?

What if everybody, en mass, stopped patronizing Disney World and Walt Disney World, like right now, for even one day?  A non-violent protest of major impact?  Won't happen, but think of it...

Well, such a boycott wouldn't have to be total to make the Mouse's testicles shrivel up. Hell, a 10% drop in visitation would have a massive effect. Isn't that what's already happened to Disney World due to fewer foreign customers since Turdiffs went into effect?

The thing is, though, simply not enough people think the Kimmel censorship is a big deal. They don't see the terrible danger in a fascist President being able to choke off media critics. He said the other day that any network that airs criticism of him should have its license revoked. "Just Trump being Trump"?

We won't be able to stop the downslide into fascism unless at least a few MAGAs come to their senses. Right now, all I see from them is horribly misguided exultation.

And yeah, I'm going to use the same old parallel. When Hitler took power, one of the very first things he did was to purge his followers of those he deemed insufficiently loyal. The Brown Shirts who had helped push him into power were rounded up and killed. So if MAGA thinks they can work their passage by showing undying, slavish fealty to the Turd--they might have another think coming.

Kimmels ratings have declined to 1m. He was close to going under 1m.  The

His ratings have declined 43% in the past year & are down 75% from a few years ago.

The market has spoken. People don't like his show. Most shows are canceled with those numbers.

Maybe he was suspended because the show loses a fortune

I know this is old news, but it is funny how the MAGA narrative fell apart so quickly. Claiming this wasn't a freedom of speech issue, and the fact that drama queen, crybaby Trump was using the Presidency to squash speech that hurt his feelings.

This guy was wrong again.

Are you guys saying Kimmel should be allowed to squat on ABC if they don't want him anymore !  They should have every right to evict him if he is not funny, offending over half of the public and losing money and viewers.

Jan 6 conspiresy, Jimmy Kimmel conspiresy,  I am tired of the BS  It is what it is.  He was not funny  Lets put someone on worth watching. He talked to hollywood celebs that nobody cared about, so what

This guy was wrong.

Brent's whole argument was based on a flawed assumption.  Broadcast television is in decline and dying; what matters now is how many views one gets when the television you produced is streamed. And yes, Brent and Tom wanted to believe Trump's lie even though it was unbelievable on its face.

Trump should have erased all doubts about who was to blame after he had a meltdown on Truth Social after Kimmel was reinstated. He was crying, saying they promised me he would be off the air.  Now that Brent and Tom have had their eyes opened by Trump himself, let's hope they begin to ask themselves honest questions like I appear to be supporting fascism, does that make me a fascist?
