Disney yanks Kimmel's show following backlash over Charlie Kirk assassination remarks

Brent wanted to make an apologia for his hero, the Turd, by saying that the real reason Kimmel was canceled was that he was "not funny" and he offended "over half the public." What an obviously stupid thing to say.

Perhaps Brent is so ignorant as to not know that "not funny" speech that offends "half the public" is still protected and no one, President or otherwise, has the right to issue a decree stifling it.

Also, we must refer to Brent's vehement defense of Charlie Kirk's speech, which definitely was not funny and absolutely offended far more than half the public. But despite the awful things he routinely said, we all agree that he had the right to say them. Funny how we support Kirk's right to free speech but Brent doesn't support Kimmel's.

No one ever said MAGA was anything but hypocritical.

Jimmy Kimmel sheds 64% of audience after short-lived ratings spike following suspension -- On Thursday, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" averaged 2.3 million total viewers — a staggering 64% drop from the 6.5 million who tuned in for Tuesday’s much-hyped return. -- Kimmel shed even more viewers in the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54, with Thursday’s episode hemorrhaging 73% of viewers from the critical category. "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" pulled in 1.7 million viewers among the key demo for Tuesday’s return but plummeted to 465,000 only 48 hours later. "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" also lost significant viewers in the younger demographic of adults aged 18-49, managing 1.2 million on Tuesday but quickly losing 73% to settle for only 334,000 on Thursday. -- "Jimmy Kimmel, the arrogant Hollywood figure, openly labels Republicans as repugnant, fascist Nazis who are intent on undermining healthcare, inciting school shootings, and allowing unvaccinated individuals to suffer. He takes advantage of tragedies, like Charlie Kirk's murder, to cast MAGA supporters as deceitful opportunists seeking to score political points. From his privileged position, he dismisses the notion of losing conservative viewers as a welcome relief and brazenly admits he would never engage with those he considers "deplorables." Yet, he cries censorship when faced with criticism for his views"

It is the streaming numbers that matter not broadcast ratings. The morning after his monologue appeared on You Tube it had amassed 21 million views in just a few hours. That's where the money is as they get paid by YT for those views.

What matters most is the couple of million votes Trump cost MAGA in the 2026 elections.

Some MAGAs still dimly remember things like the Bill of Rights and are uncomfortable with Trump shitting on it.

HaHaHa. President Trump did not lose any votes - the 2026 election will see a dramatic increase in House and Senate seats for Republicans.

Yet ABC wants him on his show. Could it be that a hostile old man from Texas has more knowledge of the entertainment business than a global entertainment company? I'll go with the Texas gent./s

All ABC "wants" is revenue - and they could not care less where it comes from and how it is generated. To avoid a lawsuit they are willing to give up some revenue until it is time to renew Kimmel's contract - which will not happen. Like Colbert, he is finished. The despicable View is next.
