Donald Trump Signs Funding Bill to Avoid Government Shutdown

 Where is all of the screaming, the hand wringing, the "sky is falling" rhetoric that the DemocRats, the lying media and the resident lying liberals here were spouting? The bill has been signed and - nothing happened. Imagine that! The Earth is still rotating on it's axis, no earthquakes, no tsunamis, nada - nothing. The only thing that has happened is the lying, anti -  America DemocRats have been exposed again as a group of corrupt thieves who hate America and only are concerned about the money they have stolen from American tax payers. Their gravy train is being derailed - they have nothing to offer America except what they did to America the last 4 years. - The White House issued a press release Saturday afternoon announcing Trump signed the bill to fund the government through September 30. The cretin who signs such a bill shouldn't also be trying to destroy the government.

  Signing a 6 month bill to stop adding more government spending will not "destroy" the government. The model for destroying the government was in play and utilized the last 4 years as the brain dead Biden administration added $8 TRILLION dollars to the national debt.

Indiscriminately slashing government agencies, employment, and funding is stupid, and calling it "cutting waste" is evil.

Unless you have personally experienced a govt shutdown, you can't appreciate the effect on so many aspects of it, who is affected financially, the disruption in services, etc.  I suspect the average non-fed citizen barely notices anything before it is resolved.  Generally in patient care services they left most frontline caregivers alone, but furloughs happened to some employees for whom it meant serious financial strain.  I had mentioned timekeeping disruptions at the start, during, and at resolution of the shutdown.  At least at our hospital the furloughs were staggered to avoid anyone experiencing long term loss of income.  Glad it was cancelled.

The cruelty and injustice of it all stems from the sad fact that billionaires are now ruining ordinary people's lives. Do you think the Turd or Elon have ever been unable to obtain medical care--or had to wait months for it? Do you think they've EVER shopped for groceries? Do you think they've ever only half-filled their gas tanks and hoped it would last until payday?

So my question is: WHY are these assholes allowed to determine the availability of medical care, the price of consumer goods, or any of the myriad factors that are out of the hands of ordinary citizens but nonetheless, determine whether they thrive or starve? THEY sure as fuck don't know what it's like to not be able to pay the bills--especially Trump, who's made a career, and a fortune, out of stiffing everyone to whom he owes money!

Hospitals may be able to cope with shutdowns, but they're always going to be disruptive to care and to employees' and patients' lives. That illustrates the difference between Democrats and Republicans. Democrats are unwilling to hurt people to score political goals. Republicans are quite happy with that. After all, who cares if Grandma has to wait an extra month for her hip surgery, as long as MAGA scores points with the faithful?
