No, I'm not testing the civility rules around here. That phrase was actually entered into the court record in the New York case by Trump's own lawyers.

Duh. You lose some of your rights in this country if you are a criminal defendant. If you don't like the system, demand that they let everyone out currently in jail/prison becuase they weren't allowed to intimidate witnesses in their case.

So being a "criminal defendant"- without having been judged guilty - means that one loses the right to the First Amendment? Just where is that written?
Go to your local jail. Ask the prisoners how many of them are in there right now without having been judged gulity. Then ask those if they are allowed to say whatever they want to witnesses in their case.
If you want to discuss the merits of how our criminal justice system works, I am fine with that. However, it is disingenuous to complain about Trump not having a special rule that applies just to him.

Those who have been indicted lose LOTS of rights. They may still be imprisoned. They may have to post bail. They may have to give up rights of association and travel. They may have to wear a leg bracelet.
And for about 50 years, courts have ruled that speech that may cause harassment or worse can be limited in order to insure another right: the right to a fair trial.

Oh, please show me how my sentence, "That phrase was actually entered into the court record in the New York case by Trump's own lawyers" had a single word of misinformation.
And the judge warned that if Trump's former consigliere Michael Cohen continued to publically attack Donald Von ShitzInPantz, then the gag order would not be enforceable in that instance. That sounds fair.

He was quoting cohen. Try to keep up
Gag orders can also apply to witnesses. Cohen who is a convicted felon should also have a gag order.
Nope, he isn't on trial.
