Downtown Vegas restaurant

Hey folks.

I thought that I'd bring up a non-political topic.  As some of you know, I organize a trip for a bunch of college buddies, plus a few stragglers, for an annual "Laboring in Las Vegas" trip.  This will be our 36th trip to Vegas for a Labor Day weekend.  We are, as we often do, staying at the Golden Nugget.  I know the downtown restaurants fairly well, but could use advice.  We only do one organized dinner for our group of 14, and I'm leaning towards Carson Kitchen, as it was fantastic last year.  I need to be cognizant of the spend, as some guys are cheap.  I say cheap, as the cheapest guy pulls down $400,000 annually, but he's cheap.  Max spend with cocktails and tip needs to be $75.

Ideas?

Tell the guy to stay home.

You might get more input if you post this under Dining or Downtown.  I don't have a suggestion, other than agree with doing Carson Kitchen again since it was successful last year.  If anyone complains, hand over the privilege of organizing for the next trip.  I hope they all appreciate you.

He's a buddy.  I don't want him to stay home.

Thanks Robert.  I've been there and it's a great place.

Noodle house at the Cal.

Magnolia's at the 4 Queens.

Seigal's 1941 at El Cortez.

Triple George across from the Downtown Grand.

777 at the MSS during the 3-6PM happy hour.

Oscar's at the Plaza.

Have you been to all of those?

This question should be for Westie because he is the food expert.

14 people!!! OMG!

Hello Dave.

I've eaten at all of your listed restaurants other than Triple George.  I'm quite familiar with the downtown casino based restaurants, yet quite unfamiliar with those in the Fremont East District.

Thanks.
