Drill, baby, drill!! Erp. Bidens war on fossil fuels!! Erp.

The scumbag brain dead Biden sold off nearly 1/2 of America's oil reserve prior to the election to keep oil prices down - currently America's oil reserves sit at 351 million barrels, well short of the 727 million barrels the oil reserves once held. Replenishing America's oil reserves is another reason to drill and produce more oil. Biden sold off nearly half the U.S. oil reserve -- Biden’s administration sold off more than 40 percent of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve last year to help limit rising fuel prices after Russia invaded Ukraine, leaving the stockpile at its lowest levels since the early 1980s. That’s fueling Republican accusations that Biden has left the U.S. vulnerable to a disruption of global oil supplies — at a time when Hamas’ terrorist attacks in Israel are stoking fears of a wider regional war disrupting fuel shipments from the Middle East. -- “That’s Joe Biden’s fault for trying to lower the price of gas before the election,” House Natural Resources Chair Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) told POLITICO. -- In fact, the reserve still holds 351 million barrels — equivalent to nearly 56 days of total U.S. oil imports last year — though well below the peak of 727 million barrels it held during the Obama administration. - https://www.politico.com/news/2023/10/16/biden-oil-reserve-fuels-00121298

Horseshit. We don't need the Strategic Reserve any more. It was created when we had much lower domestic production when we do now.

We don't depend on global oil supplies. The article you cut and paste--did you even read it? The Reserve, it says, still holds 56 days' worth of US oil imports--so if global supply was cut off, we'd have two months' worth in the reserve to buy time to boost domestic production.

You're bitch-whining about nothing.

One can never have enough oil reserves. When it was created has nothing to do with it's purpose.  56 days is not 2 months. Dumbass do you know why we need an oil reserve? It is like Fort Knox - it is wealth that is there if ever needed. You get dumber every day.

We have approximately 600 times the amount currently in the reserve in operating wells.

It is one thing to be "in the ground" awaiting being pumped - it is another being stored and available for immediate use. Drill baby, drill...    Sell baby, sell - Make America Rich Again...

Yeah, it would take an entire day to get oil from a well as opposed to getting it from a storage tank!

Prattling a foolish slogan isn't making a logical argument.

Kevin, if government makes oil extraction less expensive, more drilling will happen.  This is a fact.  One of the best ways to make drllling less expensive is for government to offer more lucrative drilling opportunities.  This includes drilling in Alaska, California, Florida and other places.

Another way is to reel in the EPA.  This is an organization that wants more regulations passed each year to make industry cleaner or safer.  At some point, more regulation is counter productive.  Passing 100 new laws each year for safty and cleaner becomes too much.  A billon news EPA laws on business is not a winner.

Kevin is baffled that producing products within the US and selling these products to citizens in other countries helps America.  In a nutshell, Kevin is always baffled.

Nope! Wrong! "More drilling will happen" if and only if they can sell the extracted product--AND if they WANT to sell the extracted product!

What makes you think that the oil companies want to flood the market (domestic OR global) with cheap gasoline and other petro products? And if they're not selling it--they don't need to suck it up out of the wells and then put it in storage tanks. In the wells is perfectly good "storage" until it's needed.

You see, Boiler, I know you don't comprehend this, but---the oil companies don't want gasoline to be cheaper. And it would be if they ramped up production.

You're also far too stupid to comprehend the benefits the EPA has provided. The oil companies want to operate with no restraints and no obligation to clean up their messes. It's like your neighbor throwing his trash over your back fence. But your bleats about that are irrelevant, because conforming with environmental regulations costs the oil companies approximately 0.03% of their profits. So doing an Elon on the EPA wouldn't put much more money in their pockets, while making millions of people sick.

You know, I believe that you truly do think that if you're selling a product, you can make twice as much of that product and your revenues will double. That's not how the world works! Demand would have to double as well, and if you lowered your prices to increase demand, then you'd be costing yourself that additional revenue!!

Your poor Boiler head must be spinning right now...

Kevin, does a lower or higher cost commodity sell better?  Why is this concept baffling to you?

Boilerman seems really confused on how oil prices work - or any commodity for that matter.   Cost of drilling plays no role whatsoever in the price of oil.  Supply and Demand are the only factors in price.   Oil companies dont set prices.   Their customers do.    Rinse and repeat for every commodity on the planet.

You've been babbling about increasing SUPPLY. Cost has nothing to do with "drill baby drill cacka doodoo."

Why would the oil companies want to "sell better" if doing so doesn't increase their bottom line? If they flood the markets with product, the price will drop. They have no interest in that happening.
