In 2024, 92.0% of Americans — about 310 million people — had health insurance for some or all of the year Census.gov Census.gov . This means roughly 8% of the U.S. population (about 27.2 million people) did not have health insurance at that time CDC CDC .
the absolute horror, of universal health coverage that tries to keep Americans alive!
A universal healthcare system in the United States would require between $1.5 trillion and $3.0 trillion in additional federal spending per year, depending on how it’s designed. That’s the Congressional Budget Office’s estimate for 2030 under a single-payer model based on Medicare.
And how would dealer expect to pay for this? Bear in mind a "medicare" plan includes a deductable, a monthly premium of a few hundred and medicare doesn't cover all surgeries and nursing homes; so one has to buy additional coverage.
Bear in mind in Europe more than 20% buy private health coverage.
Asking "what does dealer think" made me laugh .....
