Earthquake

Am waiting for P.J. and Mark's soon to be postings about the earthquake in Alaska that is, with everything else, President Trump's fault.

I had to tune Trump out. I saw that picture taken at the G-20 where Putin and the Saudi Prince were embracing while Trump looked on with the sullen face of a jilted lover.  If I was in the mood for melodrama like that, I'd turn on the CW and watch one of those shows geared towards teenage girls.

Or, you could just watch CNN reruns...

Mark writes: "If I was in the mood for melodrama like that, I'd turn on the CW and watch one of those shows geared towards teenage girls."

Poor old DonDiego suggests "The Hallmark Channel".  The young, unhappy girl always gets her man.

Oh, . . . and this time of year Don Diego also suggests the Hallmark Radio Channel, SiriusXM Channel 70, . . . "Classic Christmas Music & Carols 24/7", . . . and Mark could win the Countdown to Christmas Sweepstakes Grand Prize - a VIP trip for 4 to the Legoland Resort !

I am making an Earthquake Cake today for a church function.  Perhaps I'll get a Christmas card from 1800 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Actually, news of the earthquake in Alaska gave me the idea;  I needed something really EASY to make.   I used to love baking grand and glorious holiday desserts, but now I want to do not much of anything on a cold day other than watch old movies; Christmas in Connecticut, Its a Wonderful Life, The Shop Around the Corner, The Bishops Wife, All Mine to Give (a real tear jerker), A Christmas Carol (any of the old versions), Miracle on 34th Street, A Christmas Story, etc.
