Election 2020 - Unpleasantness

The left will completely lose their minds when the President is reelected.  The candidates on the democrat side right now can't win in my view.  It looks like the atm line at a Harrah's casino.....we've always called that the losers line.

The dems will have to come up with a candidate who has the potential to win, somewhere down the line, because I don't see one running right now.

And just what would the reaction be if this had been the other way around with Obama? Hell a rodeo clown got fired for wearing an Obama mask during a joke he performed which had nothing to do with an assanation! This person should be arrested, an apparent threat to the President.

I will bet the fake news networks report none of this! It is always SO different when it is a Democrat.

This guy is a nobody state senator. It is not like the Democrat's US House candidate from Chicago was an actual Nazi. Or an actual member of the US House that came out as pro-rape and incest.

I'd like to thank DonDiego for this opportunity to demonstrate the proper way to address actions by person(s) who may agree with some of your political views but also embrace violence.     For reference I've also listed some other ways people may react...posters on this board are likely familiar with them.

(1)  The intelligent, proper way to address these actions

There is absolutely no excuse or rational explanation for militant or violent demonstrations in the context of making a political point.    People who do so not only hurt their own reputation but also their own cause.    I dont tolerate anyone who engages in such actions...and I proudly call them out for their stupidity.  I refuse to allow them to associatte with my politics in any way.

(2) The FOX News way to address these actions

This is a complete hoax !  This is simply an act of mental illness - not politics.   And the other side is trying to use it for fundraising.  Next story.

(3) The LVA conservative way to address these actions

Why on earth are you talking about this incident?  Dont you know there were black people shooting each other in Chicago this past weekend?    Whoa, SNAP !!!

DonDiego agrees with PJ Stroh's pertinent initial response. labeled "(1)" above.  It is pertinent and cogent.

All poor old DonDiego has done is suggest, with the example cited, the likelihood of ongoing unpleasantness over the next 15 months or so.  DonDiego is aware this is not altogether unusual in American politics, . . . but it is only August 2019 !  DonDiego opines this election campaign is likely to be unusally unpleasant.

I learned a valuable and yet unpleasant truth  last week at my neihgborhood Karaoke bar:   Bette Midler sings "Wind Beneath My Wings" much better than I do.    Or so the judges told me.   And sometimes thats the nature of truth, isn't it?

On a forum topic regarding political White Supremacist terror plots....

DonDiego did not respond in the spirit of #1.   He chose instead to point to a non-political shooting in Philadelphia.  (That would be #3 for you home gamers)

Boilerman rushed to talking about black people living in black ghettos on this thread (also #3).

And Jphelan tried to put political terror plots into the context of mass shootings without addressing their motivations (thats 3 for #3).

And as far as FOX News goes......has Tucker returned from his vacation yet after calling El Paso a hoax?   regardless - my description holds true there too.
