ELECTION - 2020

[ Is it too early ?  NAH ! ]

The New York Times headline of 12 May 2019 read: " 'There He Goes Again'?  Not Yet, as Biden Avoids Major Gaffes "

 [excerpt]

"Just over two weeks into Mr. Biden’s candidacy, the most notable feature of his campaign may be what hasn’t happened: He has not blurted anything out that delights his rivals, horrifies his aides and reinforces his image as 'Uncle Joe,' America’s there-he-goes-again relative who makes you smile and wince in equal measure."

Whooeee !  Sounds like just what America needs.

I hope its "Gaff" fight between the guy who kisses women on the back of the head vs the guy who grabs their genitalia.

But then again, Joe might really cross the line of political correctness and call Trump's base "Deplorable".    Because as we know that was the most vitriolic  thing said in the last election cycle  (if you exclude Trump demanding his protestors be taken out in a stretcher).

I like Joe on a personal level, but he is not my preference for the Democratic nominee. His mind seems to be stuck in the 1970s and early 1980s.  Can you believe he thinks once Trump is out of office Republicans will want to work with Democrats to get things done?  That is magical thinking, and the type of thinking Democrats and the nation can not afford.
