Electric Power for Electric Cars

 Does this make sense? -https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10215785697675992&set=a.10201333384297190

Duhhhhh...a diesel generator uses diesel fuel to produce electric power.

It's no different from using a gasoline-fueled generator to power electrical appliances, as we've all done when camping, for emergency lighting, etc.

David may not understand that most sources of electricity, with the exceptions of nuclear power, solar power, wind power, and hydroelectric power, come from burning fossil fuels.

Your reply begs the question - if all fossil fuel production is stopped, as brain dead Biden promised and is doing, just how will electricy be generated? You and the morons who advocate the shutting down of fossil fuel production are criminially ignorant beyond belief.

The point is, what is the point of kevin's beloved electric car if the generator is using diesel fuel

That "point" is so obvious that the self anointed know-it-all Lewis missed it - but that is nothing new.

It's not difficult to answer your question.     You just have to go to an intelligent source that's researched it and came up with an answer....that's contrary to watching some inbred, mouth breather on social media.

Electric cars use less carbon than combustion engine cars

even when the battery is charged with fossil fuels.   And with each new generation of battery tech that footprint gets smaller.   And as the electric grid becomes more green that footprint gets smaller.

make sure you relate that to Billy Bob Dipshit so he can put it in his next Facebook post.

The "Answer" that PJ alludes SHOULD have been found and implemented BEFORE brain dead Biden stopped fossil fuels from being available to use. The second part to the absurd "Answer" that PJ has alluded to is that NO ONE knows when the "Answer" will be found. Now who is the "DIPSHIT" now?

I have the "Answer": David Miller is a fucking idiot. Biden hasn't "stopped fossil fuels from being available to use." In fact, I just used some today. What a completely ridiculous, asinine thing to say. Typical Davey Dog, though.

I've called out Davey Dog on how a "brain dead" person--who is, in fact, dead--could possibly dream up an enforce all those evil schemes. Dead people, historically, haven't been able to do anything.

I can understand why simpletons like you and Davey Dog would ask an idiotic question like that--as did the moron who posted the photo.

Burning diesel to produce electricity, which then powers electric motors that drive a car, is more efficient that burning diesel to power a car's internal combustion engine. Furthermore, for the same amount of power generation, the diesel/electric combination produces less carbon emissions than diesel as the sole energy source. If either you, stupid Tommie-poo, or Davey Dog actually want to know the science behind this, you can easily research it yourself. But of course, you don't want to; you'd rather bleat.

For anyone with a functioning mind who is curious about this topic, the fundamentals are based on the quantity of energy (as expressed in joules) in a gallon of diesel and how much of that energy is wasted converting it into motion using a diesel engine vs. how much is wasted converting it into motion via electricity generation and battery charging (there will always be some wastage; no system is 100% efficient).

The key is that with a diesel generator, the diesel is burned in a machine that isn't moving. Then, the motor of the electric vehicle is much smaller and lighter and has fewer moving parts than a diesel auto motor. So there's much more efficiency all around.

Again, I explain all this for the benefit of anyone reading, and not for stupid Tommie-poo and asshole Davey Dog. PJ and I have just schooled them once again, and showed them how they were foolishly wrong, but there's no way they'll have the balls to admit it.

I can answer that question too:  people who get their information from Facebook instead of credible data and news sources.
