Elon Musk offers to pay TSA workers' salaries amid DHS budget standoff

It is utterly shameful for the obviously corrupt DemocRATs refusal to fund DHS. I don't have much regard for Musk, but I'd say take him up on it, though I doubt the Fed pay system works like that.  Musk knows he can talk that offer without being held to account for it.   

If he wants to purchase a zillion $500 gift cards to Walmart and Exxon etc. for distribution to TSA agents that would be nice.  Not likely to happen, of course.

I'm actually going to buy some gift cards to hand to the TSA agents next time I go through the airports, which isn't until the end of April but I'll do it anyway.   Walmart, Shell, Exxon, Burger King, etc.  Not $500 of course, probably $5 or $10, just to say thanks.

   You underestimate Musk,IMHO. I am curious to see where, if anywhere, his offer goes. I will say this, the corrupt DemocRATs have caused this issue and continue to put Americans and America in harms way with their asinine obstructions to the safety of all. Screwmer has, once again, started and led America into these shutdowns - both of which are morinic and anti American. Vote OUT every DemocRAT - they do not represent the needs, wants and desires of America and Americans.

It's nothing but Elon's usual bluff and babble, and Millerscum knows that full well, stupid as he is.

But if Elon wants to buy gift cards for people, how about for all those people that he and his teenage DOGE lackey "Big Balls" put out of work last year?

I do think David could handle a TSA job.  It seems like a perfect fit actually with what I usually experience with most TSA employees.  

All he'd have to do is stand there and yell "TDS TDS TDS" and "ALERT! FILTHY IMMIGRANTS!!"

But he'd have to be put at a checkpoint where no adolescent girls would be passing through. I don't think TSA segregates folks that way.

My experiences with TSA types have been largely neutral. After all, they're federal government employees, and I don't expect high IQs or reasoning power. Nor do I ever see that.

I do recall one episode, though, when I took my cat with me on a Christmas holiday flight. She was of course, in a carrier, and decidedly NOT happy and pretty scared. The TSA idiot insisted that I take her out of the carrier in case she was sitting on a nuclear weapon or something. Anyway, they handled her roughly, she freaked, she escaped...ten minutes delay for everyone in line.

And they never found the kilo of cocaine I had hidden under her tail.

I believe that.  They tell me to wear my tennis shoes and then tell me to go back and put them on the belt all the time.  It's just a mindless job.
