Elon Musk Pulls Companies From California After Gavin Newsom Signs New Law

Elon Musk said on Tuesday in a post on X, formerly Twitter, that he plans to move his company SpaceX headquarters from California over what he said was a new law in the state that was "attacking both families and companies." - The law aims to prohibit "school districts from enacting forced outing policies" of students with regard to their gender identity, provide "resources for parents and students to manage conversations about gender and identity privately" and protect "teachers and school staff from retaliation if they refuse to forcibly out a student," according to a statement by Assemblymember Chris Ward who introduced the legislation. Posting on X, Musk suggested that the law was an attack on families in the state. - "This is the final straw," he wrote. "Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas." - Musk later also said that he planned to move the social media X, a company that he owns, to Austin, Texas. -https://www.newsweek.com/elon-musk-company-leave-california-spacex-texas-gavin-newsom-1926014

Newscum and the corrupt deviant DemocRats keep making California more unlivable. Musk is pulling his companies, their revenue stream and tax monies out of California and, by the way, moving his companies to, of all places, Texas. The cost of living and taxes will soon be going up in the land of fruits and nuts, - don't forget to thank the DemocRats.

Fuck Musk. California doesn't want or need him.

No one needs Musk. Maybe Arkansas.

He's just mad that his son Xavier is now Vivian......and he blames California.  He needs a scapegoat for his own issues.  Good luck in Texas, Elon!

This is a tough one.  I've had a few trans and non-binary students the past three or four years at the middle school where I teach.  Thankfully the parents met with us and were fully supportive of their child's decision.  Also, these students had mostly positive interactions with their classmates.  There was one situation where the boy (who was actually female), wasn't as forthcoming with their girlfriend as they should have been, so some drama ensued.

Why would any self respecting person want to live in California and/or vote DemocRatic there? -- Governor Gavin Newsom signed the law, making California the first state to implement such a ban. The law prevents schools from disclosing a student's gender identity without the student's consent. Opponents argue that the law undermines parental rights and the ability to maintain trust between schools and parents. -- California has become the first state to bar school districts from implementing policies that require school staff to notify parents if their child seeks to change their gender identity. The legislation, signed by Governor Gavin Newsom, aims to protect the privacy and safety of LGBTQ+ students, who may face backlash or discrimination at home if their gender identity is disclosed without their consent. The law was introduced by Assemblymember Chris Ward, a Democrat from San Diego, who highlighted the need to protect vulnerable students from potential harm in unsupportive households. Advocates of the law argue that it allows students to explore their gender identity without fear, promoting a safer and more inclusive school environment. - https://mxmnews.com/article/68b73d38-328e-41f7-9da5-6a915da51932?california-bans-parental-notification-of-their-child-s-gender-identification-change

Transgender people make conservitards feel icky, and a major element of their mantra is that they can persecute anyone who makes them feel icky.

And of course, it's a culture war mantra for the RepubliQ to whine about transgender people.

I was subbing last school year, anywhere from K-12, and more often than not, I would come across one or more transgender students during the course of the day. I didn't know simply by sight most of the time, and I usually had never met them before. But our attendance software indicated their gender identity, including whether they were trans/non-binary. So I tried not to make an etiquette blunder. No strain on me to do that.

And uniformly, the other students weren't kerfuffled by the presence/existence of the trans kids at all. I have the unmistakable feeling that even in the goober conservitard states, it's the parents, not the kids, who get their panties all twisted about transgender kids. In Oregon, it's just "OK, fine."
