From Google today - Nations often cited for failed socialist experiments include the Soviet Union, Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, East Germany, China (Maoist era), Cambodia, and various Eastern Bloc countries (Poland, Romania, etc.), with common outcomes cited as economic stagnation, shortages, authoritarianism, and humanitarian crises, though interpretations of success/failure and specific models (state-planned vs. democratic socialism) vary. These examples highlight centrally planned economies' struggles with incentives, innovation, and meeting basic needs compared to market-based systems.

Anybody who thinks that Maduro's regime was actually socialist has rocks in their head.

None of the countries listed by the Goofle bot were socialist, either. They were oligarchal dictatorships. They of course didn't call themselves that.

My standard response when someone says "But they have socialist in their name!" is usually So I suppose you think North Korea is a Democratic Republic then? No? But it's in the name.

They were elected under the premise of socialism, but as soon as they got in they threw out that pretense which is what happens every time a socialist wins.

There are no succesful socialist economies

Don't be stupid. There are several.

Don't be stupid. There are several.

Name them

No. You can find that out yourself easily enough. If I gave you a list, you'd just dredge up a Tom-stat that "proves" that a nation in the list isn't successful. The price of radishes or something.

If you want me to honor you with an answer, you'll first have to provide a definition of what "successful" supposedly means.

Oh, and Tom my boy, if a leader was elected under the "pretense" of socialism, then they weren't a socialist at all, were they?

You really need to think before you type. Your Tom-logic is kind of embarrassing.

Tom can always be counted on to demonstrate a classic logical fallacy: Straw Man Argument.  Go ahead Mr. Tom, stand that straw man up and then best the hell out of him.
