Finally! Good news for Vladimir Putin.

McCarthy signals GOP-led House likely to oppose more aid to Ukraine

Gang of Putin

They're consistent, at least. Always coming down firmly on the side of evil.

That's cause Trump would have given Putin the ok to proceed.

Maybe Republicans are looking for the EU to pay its fair share....since it's a war in their backyard.

"In the period now additionally covered (August 4 to October 3), the U.S. made new pledges of just under 12 billion euros, bringing the total to just over 52 billion euros in military, financial and humanitarian aid. EU countries and institutions expanded their commitments by only about 1.4 billion euros over the same period, and now collectively reach just over 29 billion euros. "The U.S. is now committing nearly twice as much as all EU countries and institutions combined. This is a meagre showing for the bigger European countries, especially since many of their pledges are arriving in Ukraine with long delays. "

Why should American Taxpayers have to foot the bulk of the bill?  Europe pledges 1.4 Billion EUR in new contributions and we pledge 12 Billion EUR?  They're playing us for fools.  Of course with Biden running the show, that's pretty easy to do.  I'm sure PJ, Kevin and Mister are all making heavy personal donations to the Ukrainian cause. Or do they just want to spend your money not theirs?

Charles would have hated the Lend-Lease program just before WWII.

Sorry, I dont need to be lectured by the Iraq War cheerleaders about wasteful spending.    Western Democracy is at stake in Ukraine.   George Bush's erection was at stake in Iraq.     And the amount we are spending in this war in both terms of money and human casualties is nothing  by comparison.

Democrats and Republicans seem to always be at odds over military policy:  Viet Nam, Iraq, Kosovo, Iran Nukes, and now Ukraine.    Funny thing is history seems to always come down on the same side as Democrats.

And if you want to debate the facts of Pentagon spending over the last 30 years and what party sponcered whay bullshit waste in the defense department ....I'm happy to have that conversation too.

Yo, dumb fuck:

I've contributed over $1000 to help Ukrainian refugees, actually. But so what?

You conservitards can't bitch about inflation and then bitch about efforts to stop the economic disruption that is contributing to it. If we can help Ukraine win the war, that's money well spent. The world economy will return to normal.

And here's why we should be the ones supporting Ukraine: we have gobs and gobs and gobs of weapons. By design and by treaty, the EU nations have enough to defend themselves--but no more. If they gave all their weapons to Ukraine, but Ukraine lost anyway, Europe would be defenseless.

We also figure to improve our economy if we can keep Ukraine standing. So helping them is in our own interests.
