Jerry, if you had bothered to read my posts, you'd have seen that I view this as quite possible the best outcome. The dumb, dumb, dumb MAGAs need a full-on demonstration of just what an incompetent asshole their orange master will be. He's been promising to wave his hand and magically fix everything. Well, then, let's see him try!
I simply feel sorry for all the people who are going to suffer while this is proved to the world. I have many Latino friends who are scared to death that they will be hunted down and thrown out of the country, even though they are naturalized US citizens. Many others are afraid of "unofficial" MAGA violence. And yes...I have female friends who want to preserve their right to get an abortion and don't want to have to evade Trump's Morality Police to do so.
We might very well come out of this a better, stronger nation, after it's proved once and for all that MAGA fascism is not the way. It just hurts me to think of the pain so many people will suffer in the process.
And before you say what I think you're going to, I feel relatively safe here in Oregon. The West Coast is strong enough politically, economically, and even militarily to resist Trump. I suspect that he'll confine his persecutions to places where there'll be much less resistance, like Texas.
