I'm not referring to the routine incidents that happen a dozen times a day in Swamp Land. I'm referring to Ron DeSantis being persuaded to drop out of the race--no way did he volunteer.
As the major beneficiary of this move is Nikki Haley, this move must be the work of the Republican anti-Trump faction, which used to be minuscule or at least quite silent, but is recently growing. Given that the upcoming primaries include South Carolina, Haley will at least appear to have a chance, at least for a while. So we'll get to hear her chirp and the Turd babble, and we can glow in admiration of both candidates' grasp of American history.
They say that the Republican primaries will ultimately be a Turd-fest and what's really happening is that Haley is auditioning for the VP nominee slot. If so, would Trump really accept someone who isn't as cringingly servile as Pence the Wet Kleenex and who has relentlessly attacked him and said he's mentally incompetent (the truth hurts)?
