The Focus By Immigration Officials On Detaining Violent Criminals: The Rhetoric Vs. The Data

And you do know that there are a lot more people who praise the immigration policies under both Obama and President Trump right?

I'm not sure. You might be right. But that is not what is insinuated by the meme you posted.

Yes. Some people judge the actions of a president based almost purely on party affiliation. That is a shame.

True. But I find it seemingly amazing that the negative comments always seem to be generated by one party - and even more amazing when their negative comments go directly contrary to the same comments they made in the past.

On this we agree.

I have seen this from people on the other side of the isle too. I saw people be negative of Obama for the same things they were praising Bush for. I saw people praising Bush for the same things they hated about Clinton. I also saw people praise Obama for the same things they criticized about Bush.

I believe that perhaps this is an unfortunate example of the tribal nature of mankind.

I would just ask you to remember that not everyone that is critical of Trump would praise Obama. There are plenty critical of both. I would also ask you to remember that many who express criticism do so with respect.

What Miller said was that "one party" makes all the complaints. As if MAGA never bitched about Obama or Biden! Do you really agree with that??

I never said that "one party makes all the complaints" (those are your words), even though America now has seen and knows which party owns that honor. Whatever President Trump has said about Obama and Biden is not bitching - their respective past actions are public record and have been commented on by multiple sources that agree with President Tump.

No. I don't agree with that.

What I agree with is that it is both relatively common and quite puzzling when people change their view on a particular issue based on the party affiliation of the president.

I was making zero comment or judgment about which party does it more than the other.

I thought that was pretty clear from my follow-up comments.

Direct quote from you,: "...the negative comments always seem to be generated by one party."

Yes, I paraphrased what you said. But why are you weaseling?

OK. But I don't think that it happens nearly as much with the Democrats, simply because their cohesion is less. Republicans have formed a cult of personality around Trump. Criticism of him is treated as apostasy. In contrast, criticism of Obama and Biden by the rank and file was loud and vociferous.
