Following Lewis

His many thin-skinned responses notwithstanding, Kevin Lewis has contributed a great deal to this forum and to our (non-crazy) customers outside of the Kitchen Sink. Don't think it goes unoticed that some of you follow him around and try, too often with success, to bait him into the ugly responses that get him into trouble. That will no longer be allowed. Anyone who follows a Lewis post outside of the Kitchen Sink had better be completely on subject and contributing. If I see anything, no matter how veiled, that I deem as having the intention of provoking a negative reaction, that offender will face posting penalties.

  With this being the "Sink", - where any and all type of comments/postings have been and are allowed - I have this question - does this edict also pertain to everyone, including Lewis? His behavior out of the sink in the past  has elicited many of the comments that were directed to him in response. Granted he has contributed useful knowledge in the past, but seemingly always with some negative putdown or inciteful political reference - or both. His latest (and removed) comment in the Trip Report section of the Forums was the calling of others who post as "pigs". I am all for cleaning up the content posted in the Forums, but the content should be devoid of the insults, hatred and name calling Lewis has made in the past - he knows perfectly well that this past behavior by him has generated many of the responses that have been directed to him. He has been barred by you more than once in the past - and allowed to return. Then, always, the Forums become infested with his unsavory remarks again and again. He is the common denominator. Have you considered that the majority of the negative postings center around Lewis and that whenever he is not posting, the Forums revert back to what you intended them to be, a source of comments and information concerning Vegas? Running roughshod, spewing filth and hatred towards anyone who does not agree with his postings is the core of Lewis. Those of us who respond to his insulting behavior should not told that they will possibly " face posting penelties" if they respond in kind. Having Lewis refrain from his documented nasty, foul mouthed, inciteful behavior would eliminate most if not all of the disagreeable behavior of which you speak. 

Pot calling the kettle black. You're equally to blame. You follow him everywhere so you can push the buttons that lead to the problems. That's bullshit. Same for others who won't be named unless they also want to pop their heads up with a post like this. I deal with Lewis in my way. I'll deal with the rest of you as necessary if you don't follow the rules I've made clear.

  I disagree - there is nothing "equal" about the filth, the insults and the crudeness Lewis has directed towards me over the past 7+ years. I don't "follow" him - I read what he and others post throughout each day - as is my perogative. I don't "push his buttons" - I respond with the truth and facts to which he replys with filth and insults. Your accusations here are totally off base. Just take the time to read what he posts in the Sink - he insults everyone and crudely "suggests" the actions we can do. You have insulted me with the "pot calls the kettle black" statement. I am not the problem here - everyone knows who the problem is.

I don't follow Lewis anywhere.  But when he accuses another poster of being a convicted rapist or a pedophile, isn't he crossing the line into liable?  Or does 'anything really go' in the Sink and that kind of slanderous behavior is allowed here?  

Wouldn't it be easier and less work to just kill the sink?
