But Menendez couldn't be nominated for dog catcher in the Democratic Party now, and plenty in the liberal wing called for his resignation before the guilty verdict. On the other hand:
The guy who misused funds meant to go to 12 charities for political purposes, was forced to admit it, and agreed to pay a $2 million fine? The Republicans nominated him for President three times.
The guy with the failed anti-opioid charity that funded a researcher with close ties to Oxycontin-pushing Purdue Pharma? The Republicans nominated him for US Senator and then Vice President.

If they're a politician, no matter which side, they likely have psychological and psychopathic issues. No one sane would run for office in 2024. Yeah, that means Trump as well as Kamala.

"Politician" isn't a dirty word; in fact, in a democracy, elected officials have to be politicians to get anything done. Look up the definition of the term (in something other than the MAGA dictionary).
