When Obama was elected, I had never heard of him. After 8 years, I wished I never had. What I wrote earlier tonight, save it. 4 years from now, maybe will will have smarted up and will be able to comprehend what I have said.

The narrative that them steenkin' liberals are a'comin' to take away your liberties and your rights blah blah blah is as old as dirt, And anybody moaning about the Constitution should have been appalled and disgusted by the way Trump ignored it and his lackeys and enablers supported him.
In 2009, we had the same situation as we do now--the Democrats controlled the House, the Senate, and the Presidency. And the rhetoric was the exact same as it is now. Same old same old. Them LIBURRULS is gwine destroys duh country. And nothing of the sort happened. What did happen is that Obama led us out of the Dubya recession and 21 million Americans got health care. I know a lot of people were outraged by that, because many of those who got health care weren't white.
For the next two years at least, and possibly longer, we'll have a coherent, science-based approach to dealing with the pandemic, climate change, and other major social issues. We'll have a good man in the White House, not a stupid, evil narcissist with no clue to what he's doing and no desire to learn. And yes, the various conservative dirt-wads will scream and moan every step of the way--even though they will benefit from Democratic policies as well. (And yes, the idiots will keep chirping "Venezuela Venezuela Venezula" like deranged cockatoos and Tucker Carlson will moan about SOOOOOOOCIALISM until he has a stroke.)
