Sold out already, or so it said.
They are NOT sold out - I just booked my stay. Keep trying, they will have you on hold forever.
You do stay on hold a long time. My wife is a respiratory therapist and called this afternoon and did get through and we are all set. While the FAQ does have one about being sold out, I think the Venetian made that well before making the announcement. While 50,000 room nights does sound like a lot, I suspect they will fill up fairly quick. Worth the time on hold to get a free suite at Venetian. Even covers the resort fee!
I would only consider going there if they promised to aggressively enforce social distancing guidelines, including warning and then throwing out people who weren't staying six feet apart.
I would also not go unless they had a rule, also aggressively enforced, that patrons wear masks at all times.
Furthermore, I would not go unless they prohibited all smoking, as secondhand smoke damages the lungs and increases vulnerability to CoVid-19.
Will they do all that? No way. They'll make feeble gestures:--that's all. Staying at the Venetian would be fun (as long as I didn't gamble there). But would a free night be worth risking my life????
