And he shows signs of cognitive decline.  When he was President he had the lightest schedule of any President in American history because he just couldn't handle that much on his plate at one time.

Time to face facts. All Trump is fit for is the nursing home.

When he infested the White House, he worked five hours a day, four days a week--unless he was taking time off. He didn't give a fuck about his duties.

Like I said, have always wanted two viable candidates.  We can't do worse than these two buffoons.  

We could actually do worse, unfortunately.  Like you, I wasn't too keen on either of them, given Joe's age and Trump's cringeworthiness. Not sure that last one is an actual word.

I still resist the false equivalence argument that Biden and Trump are equally bad candidates. Biden has flaws. Trump is an existential horror.

And the country in the hands of Biden has done and would do well. The country in the hands of Trump barely survived and would be a complete train wreck.

There's no comparison. And yeah, the Dems could have put up somebody much worse than Biden in 2020. I'm doubtful as to whether the Republiholes could have done worse than Trump. They would have had to find a serial rapist who was willing to run from prison.

Republicans should have put Asa Hutchinson forward.  He didn't have a chance, little name recognition, and he wasn't a loose cannon type at the mouth.  Honorable and very bright, experienced in running a state.  OK, ya don't like the Reps, but he would have been a very viable candidate had he been more well known, studied, etc.  But of course that  ship sailed long ago.

If he's honorable and bright, those two qualities are instant disqualifiers for a Republican candidate. Don't forget that their hero and standard bearer is a criminal many times over, and an idiot.

Really, all the "moderate" Republicans--some of whom I admire--have been chased out of the building by the MAGAs. The only way to preserve one's political career is to drink the Kool-aid, or at least pretend to.

I'll vote Republican and I'll vote Democrat, I will not vote MAGA, so in 2016 there wasn't an option for me but to vote all Democrat. In 2020 we had moderate Republicans on the ballot, unfortunately, the Colorado GOP is on the verge of complete incompetence at this point, which has helped the Dem's get a stronghold on the state government and the national representation for my state, so the moderate candidates didn't win. 

Anybody remember when there were still Rockefeller Republicans? It is sad Republicans no longer want a big tent. You are either MAGA or you are out.

Are there even any moderate Republicans left? I know they don't win elections any more.
