Gas prices dropping like a rock

And I'm not for paying China for EV batteries

Face fact;. as actually you are as they have a 70% market share & that is not changing any time soon.  We have ONE operating lithium mine & only a 10% share of the battery market. How many battery factories are being built right now?  Biden & the greenies are doing everything they can to prevent mines & factories from being built.

Ca is the only state where EV cars are selling.  Ev cars are sitting on dealers lots for 100+ days; more than  double that of gas cars.

Yet Kevin doesn't own an EV......

Kevin fills up his car with gas just like the rest of us on his Vegas trips "between" Portland and Yellowstone....

And you're so stupid as to claim to know what cars I own?

Shortbus indeed.

Tom - fun fact - you cant complain about CHina's market share while simultaneously blasting legislation that increases our market share.   It makes you look really ridiculous.

Tom's prediction based upon the following graph is we aren't buying more EV's going forward.   I guess nevermind he's been wrong every year up to now.     And nevermind all the auto CEO's who say they are retiring gas combustion cars.  Tom knows their business better than they do.

Holy shit.

You own a hybrid and said it gets 55 mpg.  Did you forget you said that?  So you don't own an EV.

Tom - fun fact - you cant complain about CHina's market share while simultaneously blasting legislation that increases our market share

One more time - we have 1 operating lithium mine & there isn't actually anything being done to increase it. Any attempt to increase it is blocked by the greenies & the biden gang.

all the auto CEO's who say they are retiring gas combustion cars.

No they are not.

We sold 400,000+ electric cars, mostly in Ca.  We sell about 14m cars per year.  EV cars are sitting on the lots for double the time gas cars are.

Not much of a demand; see below

Only 19% of respondents to the poll, by the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago and the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, said it’s “very” or “extremely” likely they would buy an EV as their next car.

Less than 1% of the 250 million cars, SUVs and light-duty trucks on the road in the United States are electric. (Reuters)

For all the reasons previously listed EV cars are not practical on a nationwide scale & we are selling our soul to the chinese.

PJ - what model is your EV?

Ain't nothin' like a conservitard who can't see the future and thus, pretends it doesn't exist.

Stupid Tommie-poo.

Tell ya what, boys and girls. If you want an EV and buy into the BBQ that the left is cooking on this issue, then by all means have at it with my blessing. They're available..it's your choice..go ahead on.  It's my contention that I'll croak before I personally have to own one as the publicly presented accelerated timeline for the transition from ICE's to EV's avoids realities and costs way too much. I'm not going to be concerned much about it until I physically observe them dismantling the transfer pipelines, the truck stops, all related infrastructures, and my local gas stations. When these related issue accountants project costs for this transition, they seldom if ever include the real costs of dismantling the current existing infrastructures with ICE's. In the end , it's mostly about money and progression of the green  movement, and there's some  processes with EV production and maintenance issues that are in direct conflict with that green movement that are never discussed.  I can't / won't attempt to stop it and realize it's gonna happen..I just won't be a direct participant. Others can do what they choose. All of us don't want to necessarily live in / move to California.

Kevin owns a hybrid though.......so let's all line up to listen to what he has to say.

Charles, you may not see much demand for EVs wherever it is you live, but gas prices, I'm guessing, are relatively low there. Given your political, uh, views, I'm guessing that you live in a smallish bucktoothed inbred Trumper town. Anyone who bought an EV would be beaten up by MAGAs. But where I live, the fossil fuel companies charge beaucoup bucks to fill your tank-- and EVs are regarded as socially conscious.

So it's both social and economic. The benefits of EVs, though, are beyond dispute. I know the stupid Tommie-poos of this world will never accept them.

I for one am tired of emptying my wallet into my gas tank so that the corporations that hold Tom's leash (and yours?) can make maximum profits. I likewise refuse to vote for the party that wants to keep them rich.

Is that what it is for you, Charles? Own a bunch of oil stocks?

I painfully and quiescently  reside in a blue state ( currently and forever historically). Roughly 0.15% of vehicles registered in my state are EV's..there is no EV demand yet. Current gas price at the pump average is $4 / gallon. And you have no clue whatsoever regarding the community I live in nor what the dental configurations of the residents actually are. Typically you just blame all ills on Trump at every opportunity and employ derogatory hillbilly vernacular to those you disagree with as if it's an intelligent response. You really ought to let Trump go..you're negatively obsessed with him. You might want to find another dead horse to beat..might be healthier, etc.

So empty your wallett as you see fit. I'll do the same.

How much will you spend on charging costs for your gnat wagon battery? How much will you spend to replace the battery when / if it goes out? Do you assign any cost for convenience effort when you compare prices between gas / ICE vehicles? Are there any environmental concerns that conflict with the rainbow - nirvana EV production/ maintenance processes? When do you think all this EV transition process will actually be commonplace, and how much will it cost the taxpayer per mile? Will the IRS increase their mileage deduction allowances for EV's for business purposes? Can an average badger fly?
