In the last 2-3 weeks, the cheapest gas in town (Oregon) has dropped from $5.19/gal (the peak so far) to $4.59. Other, more expensive retailers have followed suit proportionately, meaning that even the worst have dropped below $5.
Since the Strait of Hormuz remains closed, and Trump is rattling his saber again and expressing no desire to reach any kind of agreement with Iran, I'm wondering why the drop. Whatever supply disruptions there were still remain.
I did read that plans were being implemented for petroleum and other products that used to be shipped through the Strait are being rerouted, and permanently, as the world isn't going to trust Trump to honor any agreement that reopens the Strait, nor will they trust Iran, given their proclamation that they own it. But I would think that such plans would take months if not years to implement.
So why do you think gas prices are dropping a little bit? (And please, MAGA, don't give us any of that "Noble Dear Leader PROMISED that the gas price increases would be temporary YAY HOORAY BELCH GRUNT SNORT I WANT TO LICK HIS BALLS!!!" bullcrap.)
