Nice, a quote from 1976!

America envies California, especially when the weather sucks everywhere else. Then the goobers (like David) rag on the place to make themselves feel better.

It really depends on what you like for weather, my wife would love the warm weather but I prefer the snow and cold. Geography really does play a big role in political preferences from my travels.

I can find you some cold and snowy places there if you like. That's another plus about CA--geographical variety. I think geography does play a role in politics, but maybe not the way you're thinking. If you live in someplace flat and boring like Kansas or Oklahoma, your life and outlook thereon might be flat and boring as well--i.e., conservative. A place with geographical variety tends to attract a variety of people. Or to put it the opposite way, if everybody goes to the same church and all wives wear chastity belts, you're not going to have a lot of divergence of opinions. Such places tend to be more racist as well, when black or brown people are as rare as Martians rather than just simply parts of the community.

Another load of absurd bullshit delivered by Lewis - and the scary part is he actually believes this in spite of all of the actual facts stating the opposite.

You need to get out more son. Why do you feel "your" opinion about everything is superior to others opinions? I know you feel you are the smartest in the room at all times but...I won't burst your bubble. You're my buddy and buddies don't do that. Nice attempt at the race baiting....2 points for that.
Next time you see a bridge get built in Arkansas or Mississippi be sure to thank the taxpayers of California who paid for it.

When or how did I ever say that my opinion was superior to those of others? Simply by expressing it? You're full of shit, Sled "buddy."
Though I would add a couple of caveats to the above:
1) I was born in California and lived there for over 35 years, in several diverse locations. So I just might know more about the state than the average person.
2) My opinions ARE, in fact, superior to yours, on every conceivable subject. But you're an exception to the "people are generally not idiots" rule.
