Gay Superman the Latest Conservative Panty Twister

Conservatives get dumber and more bizarre each day. Yesterday, I saw Marjorie Taylor Greene ranting about “gay superman”.  Then today I am at Denny’s trying to enjoy lunch when some MAGA blowhard at the counter keeps ranting and raving about, you guessed it, gay superman.

It is bizarre because it isn’t even a real thing. The bi character isn’t Superman. He appears in a spin-off comic, and he is Superman’s son. 

Anyway, the MAGA blowhard goes on about gay superman for ten to twenty minutes and then suddenly switches to boohooing about John Gruden saying it wasn’t right he got fired for being nonpolitically correct and that he was “canceled.”

The MAGA wants “gay superman” to be canceled but is enraged because John Gruden got canceled by the NFL. Go figure.

This shows a) how the MAGA morons respond so readily to dog whistles and b) how very, very stupid they are. They appear to have no idea that they're puppets.

The paradox you refer to is because Gruden turned out to be a homophobe (just fine) but the comic character is bisexual (horrible horrible horrible). You should get the hell out of your bigoted Trumper state. Here in Oregon, multiple people would have asked that guy to put a cork in it after thirty seconds.

History has shown repeatedly that anyone who is that homophobic is actually masking their own sexual identity.   How many arch-conservtive politicians, religous figures and media pundits ultimately got outed in some kind of homosexual escapade?      Way too many to count.

But its not a relevant debate anymore anyway.   Its so very 1990's.   

Unfortunately, if someone like that is loud enough, you can't ignore him. Years ago, just before the Great Trump Plague descended on the land, I stopped going to my favorite coffee shop because this guy I dubbed The Breakfast Bloviator was always there. Always. He would rant endlessly--as in, for hours--about those goddamn liberals and how they were destroying the country. He reserved the worst of his bile for Obama, whose most grievous sin was being black.

He always had a friend sitting across from him, whose only function was to interject the occasional "Yup" or "Uh-huh" or "Wow." And not the same friend every time by any means--he apparently had a whole squad of human sounding boards to call on.

The Bloviator had a deep voice and always spoke loudly and angrily, so you couldn't escape him no matter where you sat. I finally asked my waitress one day why he was tolerated. In lieu of an actual answer, she told me that he was a steady customer. No shit, I thought.

I eventually gave up on the place, which was too bad--their blueberry pancakes were amazing.

It sounds, though, that what happened was that this guy got dog-whistled, by some conservative media pundit trying to whip up outrage. That MAGA clown wasn't even actually using his brain, except as a recording and playback device.

I guess I should stop being amazed at how gullible, credulous, and easily manipulated these people are.

But you DID ignore him by avoiding the place and not replying to his crap yourself.  No one person can fix the world, but we do what we can which is sometimes to ignore, walk away, etc.   Most people give up when they aren't getting the kind of feedback they seek.  Sounds like this guy had to hire his audience.  He probably paid for their meal.

The posting by Kevin and agreed to by Candy is one of the most ignorant things I have ever read. As we see everything that the "Bloviator" was saying is being played out as being true, Kevin and Candy are oblivious to the reality. But don't take my or the "Bloviator's" word for it, just sit back, comply and enjoy the fruits of your ignorance as the DemocRats tear America apart. Blast me as you want, time will tell all. God you people are ignorant.
