David you never told us how you spent your welfare check you got from other peoples' money.     What did you buy?   Did you got to Vegas?    Those of us who paid for your deadbeat welfare check have a right to know.

  Since you have asked -- I have worked since I was 12, first job was delivering newspapers. After I graduated from high school I enlisted in the Navy and have worked every year til 2020 when I was permentally laid off because of the labor cutbacks at my place of employment at the age of 72. Prior to being laid off I have never received unemployment insurance, food stamps or welfare. I paid my taxes and paid into Social Security faithfully. I now receive monthly SocialSecurity checks and accepted the stimulus checks I received, as did millions of others. Living here in Texas, the stimulous checks stopped last June. Since then I have not received a cent from the government other than my Social Security. There is/was nothing "deadbeat" about me. In reality, all the years I paid my taxes there were millions of real deadbeats that received welfare that were paid for with my tax dollars. Apparently you must have refused to accept your government stimulus checks, seeing as you feel you have the right to besmirch others who did accept the checks. Now you know. Care to tell us what you did with your welfare checks?

Your company got rid of its most useless members and you found yourself out of a job.  Well thats sad.   I'm glad I could help by chipping in to pay for your welfare check.    

And it all worked out great.  No you can sit on your ass all day and bitch about other people who get government checks.    God bless AMerica.

 Wrong, as usual. The company I worked for laid me off because I was one of the highest paid employees in the company.. My pay was based upon 14 years of employment that gave me a raise most every year. And since I was getting Social Security, and was working only 3 days a week, it made sense for them laying me off and I really did not mind since I had informed them that I was going to retire.  Secondly I don't sit on my ass all day and bitch about other people who get government checks - on the contrary, YOU seem to be the only one here bitching about my getting government checks. By the way, you adroitly have managed to not answer my question - what did you do with your welfare checks?

I suspect that David was let go because the people he worked with got tired of being called morons and liars. Maybe he blew it and called his boss those things.

I don't care how David or PJ or anyone else spent their stimulus checks. That's their business. And the hypocrisy of bitching about what Boiler calls "free shit" while happily accepting said free shit isn't confined to Boiler. The fact of the matter is that every RepubliQ should have sent back the stimulus payments. After all, their goons in Washington voted overwhelmingly against those payments. Isn't party loyalty everything?

By the way, the Child Tax Credit lifted a record number of families out of poverty. Thus, Democrats want to continue it--and for that reason alone, Republicans want to kill it. Republicans also want to make sure as few of the people they hate (nonwhite people; poor people) as possible survive to vote and...the ultimate boogeyman...to reproduce.

 Suspect what you want. You should take some pride knowing that I only call liars, such as yourself, a liar. No one was talking here about "child tax credits. Try to stay on topic. I am waiting for PJ to tell me what he did with his welfare checks.

My sincere apologies for not answering your question.  I didn't get a welfare check from other peoples' money.  I was fortunate enough to make too much money and be too important to my company to get rid of.      Bummer, huh?

But I'm glad to help pitch in for  people who needed help throughout COVID...with the exception of those who bitch about government handouts while simultaneously embracing the check they get from the same place.
