Yeah, I live 3 miles from his boyhood home. There is a Federal Memorial and a state park here. Lincoln being Republican just makes the fact that Republicans are today's Confederate traitors ironic.

You support the insurgents when you vote for Republican candidates as the official Republican position is violent insurrection is legitimate political discourse.
Anyone with even the dimmest understanding of American history knows that the Republican party of the Civil War era wasn't the same as the Republican party is now--actually, in terms of its positions and goals, it was very similar to today's Democrat party.
Of course, "anyone with even the dimmest understanding" may not include Boiler.
