I have a setup there that would have been $200-$250 a month 5-6 years ago. Today, it is $6 at Digital Ocean.

Can poor old DonDiego access using FORTRAN ?
Although I use my droplets as web servers, I believe you can.
See:

If Don Diego or anyone else would like a $50 free credit so they can tinker around on Digital Ocean, they can use this link.
My senior project in college was a program in FORTRAN which attempted to mimic a basic video poker game.
it was on a pre-windows, CHUI operating system...which is to say no mouse.
It worked pretty well except for teaching it how to deal the cards randomly. I made some code that allowed you to shuffle and cut the deck... but ultimately the randomness was pretty crude. My teacher liked it though. Got an “A” on that one.
Good times
