Good News Conservatives! Violent Portland Protestors Finally Being Prosecuted

Two members of the Proud Boys who participated in an Aug. 22 rally in Portland’s Parkrose neighborhood have been indicted for several acts of violence they engaged in during the event. The indictments were handed down Dec. 16 and unsealed Monday after a judge arraigned Furrow in Multnomah County Circuit Court.

Tusitala “Tiny” Toese, a notoriously violent and frequent attendee at far-right rallies, was charged with six counts of assault, two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of riot and two counts of criminal mischief.

Miles Furrow, 41, a Proud Boy who was photographed beating a man in the front seat of a pickup truck Aug. 22, was charged with six counts of assault, one count of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of riot.

Well, Boiler still believes that Portland was completely destroyed last summer---funny, you'd think I'd have noticed, since I live there---so he'll no doubt be relieved to learn that it was his boys who did it.

https://katu.com/news/local/most-portlanders-say-quality-of-life-in-the-city-is-getting-worse-poll-finds, interesting article

I doubt that if you took a similar poll in any city in America right now, you'd find a different response. The quality of life has been getting worse everywhere for the last couple of years, and people have a short event horizon, looking to both the past and the future.

I've lived in many cities, and the quality of life in Portland is the best I've ever experienced. It has beautiful parks and scenery, it's eclectic and cosmopolitan, wonderful food and markets, lots of cultural activities, and people are really, really nice. That last feature is a striking contrast to other cities I've lived in. I think the only cities that hold a candle to it are San Francisco, Seattle, and San Diego.

So while I would agree that the quality of life here has declined somewhat recently, it's still light-years ahead of most places. And BTW, while this is definitely a liberal city, the politics aren't extreme. It's a live and let live environment. That's why we were all laughing when the national conservative media depicted last summer's BLM protests as crazed hordes of uppity darkies destroying the city. I've seen high school pep rallies that were more violent.

I have a friends who just moved here business from downtown Indy to the suburbs because of increased downtown violence.  She moved away from Liberalism.

I hear downtown Portland is cleaner and safer and more beautiful than ever.  Sarcasm.

Well thats hilarious because downtown Indy is booming with new condos and housing developments.   I'm sure your friend's business will be vacant for all of two weeks.     Dont you watch "Good Bones" on HGTV?    Ask Mina Starsiak how real estate prices are doing in the city.

Is "Liberalism" a city? Because otherwise, I can't imagine why you would capitalize it.
