Once again, Kevin claims racism when there is none.

Oh yeah. You don't acknowledge it; therefore, it must not exist.

Mark and Kevin, birds of a feather.  Two keyboard commandos who havn't a clue to reality. They and their ilk are what is wrong in America. MAGA.

And this, folks, is how Trumpers characterize people who don't agree with them. That's what's actually wrong with America--these traitorous, racist, stupid Trumper scum who have sown so much hatred and division in our country. Just look at a video of a Trump rally and you can almost see the hate coming from the crowd in waves, while an orange clown eggs them on. It's frightening and disturbing.

Kevin's response to my post is classic Kevin. While describing "how Trumpers characterize people who don't agree with them" - Kevin then does the same with his typical caustic tongue. ----- Quote Kevin-----"And this, folks, is how Trumpers characterize people who don't agree with them. Kevin, do you support Antifa and their efforst to eliminate the free speech of those who hold differing views?  Forkie, who used to post on this site, claimed that eliminating one's ability to be heard is not eliminating free speech.  Do you also hold this view?

I believe that all views should be heard, although that doesn't mean that you or I must listen.  Anyone should be allowed to make their views known, as long as violence is not advocated.  Antifa does not agree with me and I suspect that Kevin does not either.

My black buddy that I'm picking up in 20 minutes would disagree with you.  His black son that attended my Purdue tailgate yesterday would also disagree with you.  But I disagree with you on policy and that, obvioiusly, qualifies me as racist.

Kevin, what is your definition of racism?

Racially discriminating against blacks and Latinos as President Trump has done numerous times throughout his career certainly fits the bill.

Antifa is a small organization, and I don't belong to it. I know that Trump uses them as the linchpin of one of his false equivalence arguments: yeah, white supremacist and Nazi very fine people organizations blah blah, but what about Antifa. You are strikingly unoriginal in adopting this Trump meme. But you're lying, and you know you are, when you say that their aim is to eliminate the free speech of those who hold differing views. That's bullshit, and a stupid statement to make.

You might be surprised that I actually support the right of a raving fascist white supremacist lunatic to visit a college campus and spout his filth--while Antifa does not. I also support the right of Nazis to march in the streets--while Antifa does not. My views align very closely with those of the ACLU--and that organization is often excoriated for their defense of the right to free speech of some of the most vile scum on earth. Those vile scum include Trumpers.

Here's the gaping hole in your logic: I despise Trumpers, not because they disagree with me, but because they're lying, traitorous, stupid scumbags who are enabling the destruction of the rule of law in America.

I don't give a shit if Trumpers agree with me or not--in fact, if I found myself in agreement with a Trumper on anything, that would be ipso facto cause for me to reexamine my position--but I do care about their selfish, shortsighted, ignorant betrayal of their country.

Treating one person differently from another solely on the basis of race. (And yes, that can include favorable treatment.) An example would be Nawth Carolinah throwing 50,000 black voters off the rolls three days before the 2016 Presidential election because of supposed registration irregularities. I guess they were the only ones with errors on their registration forms.

Boilerbuddy, you may have a black friend. Or three hundred of them. That doesn't make you either a racist or not a racist. What does make you a racist is your support for a racist President and political party. If racism truly offended you, then you wouldn't be a Trumper. Or a Republican.

In general, that Trump doesn't offend more people to the point where they abandon him is puzzling. I guess hatred is the single strongest political force in this country, and millions of people will excuse Trump's behavior just so they can go on screaming slogans at his hate rallies.
