I'd never seen or heard the term "eat a bullet" to mean a suicide. As far as I knew, you were just saying Trump would be shot...and you are backtracking.

Well, Sweet Old Bob, I can't anticipate your ignorance of common English idioms. Eating a bullet is a phrase that implies being shot in the mouth. And that is rarely done in shooting deaths other than suicide.

When I googled "eat a bullet", entries showed up in the urban dictionary, not in a common English dictionary. It is not a "common English idiom."
