Great News for Skeeter and Bobby Ray !

 i. DonDiego opines Kevin Lewis's fear of no-government is unjustified.

ii. Hillary is slightly older than poor old DonDiego

iii. Although Hillary and DonDiego attended undergraduate-college during overlapping years and not far from one-another, their paths never crossed.

iv. Our political and personal philosophies likely would've resulted in a bad date in any case.

v. Oh, and poor old DonDiego understands she is something of a harpy.

vi. Unfortunately poor, old DonDiego cannot reciprocate Kevin Lewis's kindness;  DonDiego perceives Kevin Lewis is, indeed, a Raving Nut Trump-Hater.

vii. DonDiego thanks Kevin Lewis for offering to save him a bunk in the most unlikely event they were to meet under concentration camp conditions.  But he must decline; he opines proximity to Kevin Lewis under those conditions would not improve poor old DonDiego's attitude.

Ah, so can we attribute DonDiego's antipathy for Hillary to plain old misogyny? Because really, she seems pretty innocuous compared to the Orange Orangutan.

I view "Trump-hater" as in the same category as "Hitler-hater." It should be any reasonable person's default setting.

I would urge DonDiego to consider that in a society with no government, he would more likely than not have died three decades ago. And there would be no video poker machines or fish tacos.

I thought Don's response was very logical to kevin's 10 commandment rant, but there is no point in trying to discuss with kevin as he is incapable of rational thought

DonDiego has not argued for "a society with no government".  He judges that the government envisioned by the Founding Fathers in accord with the Constitution as written and amended is quite adequate.

DonDiego would be more than able to cope with a life devoid of video-poker and fish tacos.  He trusts a pleasantly administered Government in the hands of generally "conservative"*, as opposed to "liberal"*, leadership would be quite livable.

In fact, poor old DonDiego would hardly notice the absence of video-poker or fish tacos.  DonDiego pretty much stuck to blackjack and nfl-football betting.  He even made a slight profit off the XFL while it lasted; he once changed the line with a moderate bet on the XFL at "Sam's Town".

* "conservative"/"liberal" as defined within the United States political spectrum

Tom's comment is so typical of Trumpers. Nasty and stupid.

Don Diego, what I was referring to is the general doctrinal article of conservative faith that smaller/less government is good and larger/more government is bad. I for one perceive our government, at least, as mostly beneficial to its citizens.

In comparison, I look at the liberal (I know, swear word) democracies of Western Europe. They have extensive governments. Their citizens are happy and prosperous. By the Republican metrics, those places should be Trumpian "shitholes."

We used to have minimal government. I refer you to the Panic of 1893 and ask you to compare it to later economic downturns. In the former, there was no social safety net at all--and there was no government regulation to have forestalled the crisis in the first place. Tens of thousands of people died.

The later presence of Roosevelt's New Deal--that bete noire of conservatives--at least helped keep people alive during the Great Depression. Even though the New Deal meant more government, and Government Bad.

Pretty clear Kevin's 10 commandments are really the Trump Derangement Syndrome talking.  The sad part is he probably really believes his own bullshit.  I'm afraid he's too far gone to help, but maybe seeing the same screed in reverse will help.  Doubtful.

Here...Just for him I made the Anti-Trumper 10 Commandments.

1.  President Trump is Hitler.  The millions of Americans who voted for him are all Nazis.
2.  President Trump is Racist.  The millions of Americans who voted for him are all part of the Klan.
3.  President Trump is a Russian Agent controlled by Putin.  The millions of Americans who voted for him are all guilty of Treason and should be lined up for the firing squad.
4.  America should have no borders.  We should allow unlimited immigration and once you set foot on American soil you are entitled to all of the benefits of American Citizenship.  Anyone who disagrees with this is Racist.
5.  American Police officers (of all races) are all racists and actually criminals who hunt unarmed black men.  Anyone who supports their local police are racists who think black lives don’t matter.
6.  The minimum wage should be at least $150 an hour...because if 15 is good and 20 is better, 150 is a lot better.  If you don't agree, you hate poor people.
7.  Education, Food, Healthcare and housing should be free for all and controlled by our benevolent central government.  From each according to his ability to each according to his need!  If you disagree, you are not for the common good of mankind and need to be reeducated.
8.  Abortion should be free and completely unlimited.  Even after birth.  Up to about age 18 if the child is impacting the mental or physical health of the mother in any way.  If you disagree, you want to kill all mothers.
9.  If we're just nice to other countries they will treat us fairly in their trade practices.  Like our balanced trading relationships we’ve had for many decades.  In fact if Trump were just a little nicer we could probably just eliminate our military, because we'd be friends with everyone....except of course Russia.
10.  In 10 years the world will end because of Global Warming.  We must immediately spend trillions of dollars to return to a pre-industrial civilization....and stop eating those farting cows!

OK, Charles:

1. Trump isn't Hitler--Hitler is dead (I guess you forgot that)--but the way he got elected and how he gins up support are frighteningly similar. I agree on one point, though--Hitler was considerably more intelligent.

2. Yes, Trump is racist, and his racism is a primary element of his support.

3. #3 is exactly correct. Trump is a traitor, as are his supporters.

4. Our border enforcement was actually more extensive under Obama. Democrats have never called for "open borders." I know that's a Fox News talking point, but it's false.

5. Many American police are indeed racists and the fact that so many people killed by police are black youth tends to support that contention.

6. This is a reductio ad adsurdum argument. The minimum wage should be raised to $15 simply to compensate for the fact that no cost of living adjustments have been applied to the minimum wage for decades.

7. I think you're right about this--most liberals think that the necessities of life should be provided by the government, given our nation's riches and immense resources. To conservatives, that is horribly evil.

8. The right to abortion was validated by Roe v. Wade. It's settled law. And abortion after birth is a logical impossibility, though it would render the impeachment debate moot if it were possible.

9. Trade is carried out from one firm to another, not between governments. Any US business that feels it isn't getting a fair deal in a trade relationship can simply not sign the next contract. And yes, Trump's enemy-creation tactics will necessitate more military spending, as we continue to piss off former allies.

10. Our civilization won't end because of global warming. However, it will be profoundly changed--and millions of people will die in the process. But of course, they're mostly members of the inferior races, so who cares, let 'em burn/drown. And though you misstate the time frame, science (that bane of Republicans) confirms that it's almost too late to stop it. I for one think that "trillions of dollars" are worth spending to stop global catastrophe--even if it means depressing the price of fossil fuel stocks.

DonDiego references "* "conservative"/"liberal" as defined within the United States political spectrum"

----------------------

I honestly dont know what "conservative" within the US political specturm means today.

4 years ago it was defined as:

- Reducing government spending

- Promoting Free Trade

- No Socialist handouts with other peoples' money

- Christian family values

- Aggressive stance against Russia for invading Crimea (and Russia in general)

- Keeping government vitriol out of the free enterprise system and their decisions.

- Fighting waste/fraud and abuse inside the government...especially the cabinets

- tightening FED monetary policy

- Its really weak for the president to meet with foreign dictators without preconditions being met.

(Note - I am not judging the the above positions being good or bad - I'm simply saying these are all positions the Republican Party has completely 180ed on in a very short period of time.)

I think the only consistent position conservatives have over time is their disdain for liberals.  Lets be honest - thats what got Donny elected over low-energy Jeb.

What got Trumpie-poo elected was his message of hate, which encouraged millions of evil people to crawl out from under their rocks.

You're right that the GOP has flipped on many of its fundamental positions. Their supposed focus on "fiscal responsibility" is especially laughable--and their actual fiscal foolishness goes back to long before Trumphole.

Am I the only that thinks Mark opened a second account under the name Kevin Lewis?
