Hakeen Jeffries Runs His Mouth About Gerrymandering - A DemocRAT Tool

The reality -  How many states have zero Republican representatives? Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Vermont, New Hampshire, Hawaii, Delaware, yet have at least 36% ,some over 40% Republican voters , Maryland has 1 , Maine and Oregon also . So tell us all about Gerrymandering since you started it and now you’re pissed off that Red states do the same.

I have long thought that the way districts are drawn is ridiculous. It should go by actual neighborhood boundaries or zip codes or something that is not politicized. Or perhaps decided by some sort of committee comprised equally of both parties. There's got to be a better way

By looking at the list of states, it is easy to discern why these states - all DemocRAT controlled - gerrymander in order to retain control not only in their respective states but also in Congress. This is a well known fact.

I agree that districts lines need to be drawn in a way that is not politicized.  The gerrymandering needs to stop.

Red states are heavily gerrymandered as well. Complaining about blue states doing it while not complaining about red states also doing it is hypocritical.

I agree. It's a game that both sides of the aisle have gotten away with playing for far too long. They seem more focused on retaining power than representing the people.

We could bitch about all those states where the voters are evenly split but the House seats are 8-2 or 9-1 Republican. Or things like Miller could bitch about blue states where the Republican representation is below 20% but the Republican voters comprise 35 or 40% of the population. Either way, it's grossly unfair. What I find disgusting, though, is that things like Miller and stupid Tom only complain about their guys supposedly getting the shaft but dance around and flap their arms in joy when the other guys get it.

Democracy has a fundamental flaw, in that if there are 100 people in the room, 51 of them can completely blot out the voices of the other 49. Or to use a joke I think is arributable to the late George Carlin, democracy is when there are five guys in a room and four of them vote to beat up the fifth guy and take his wallet. The fifth guy's objections, in accordance with proper parliamentary procedure, are duly noted.

We have an example of that in Oregon, in that our six easternmost counties are rabidly MAGA and resent being "told what to do" by the state government and all us liberal radical woke woke woke radical liberals. They collectively comprise less than 2% of the state's population, so of course they feel underrepresented. But they happily absorb our tax dollars, accept and utilize the Oregon Health Plan, etc. etc.
