I am curious as to how this is resolved.

This is nothing but clickbait. It's total bullshit.

1. Are we to believe that this guy sat on his $500,000 winning ticket for weeks before trying to cash it in? The NBA season ended some time ago.

2. The casino did NOT post his "winning ticket" on Instagram. How could they? The ticket was (supposedly) in his possession, not theirs.

3. The "winner" just happened to have a buddy with him to video the inevitable confrontation.

4. The "winner" looked like he couldn't have afforded to make a $100 bet. That in itself isn't telling, but...

5. There are a number of legitimate reasons the casino could have refused to pay the bet, including the "winner" not having proper ID.

6. Last but not least, attempting to find out more about this just drags you to obscure social media sites that want your personal info so you can "sign up."

6.1. Oh, and Harrah's Cherokee would never refuse to pay a legitimate winner. A half million bucks wouldn't be worth the risk to their reputation. They do a huge amount of business.

Clickbait.
