Heading out to Vegas

Im going to see if I can do the whole week without going to the strip at all.   Actually - I think Im going to use the free comedy club coupons in LVA - but other than that, NADA.

I scored a pretty nice unit at HGVC Cancun Resort down near South Point.    Hoping I can catch the tail end of pool season.    Looks like the weather is about the same as Indy.

Anyway - trip report and pics coming....

Have fun.

Enjoy......is that Cancun resort actually nice?  From pics that I have seen, it doesn't look as good as some of the other ones.  We pretty much always stay at the HGVC on Paradise, next to the Westgate, even though our home resort is the Flamingo HGVC.   We just don't care for the strip, so the one on Paradise is great for us.

Good luck, PJ.  Looking forward to the report and pics.

Good luck PJ,  Let us know about those nice resturants

The pool is the big selling point.    The rooms themselves don't measure up to the other HGVC joints in town but they're ok.

I think the next week is supposed to be sunny and borderline pool weather. Of course, the other queAtion is whether the pool will be open.

I like to visit Vegas in December, when the weather is going to hell up here. We have an actual winter, from mid-December to mid-January. That's Vegas's "winter" as well, but it's usually not very cold. Of course, first part of Dec is Horsey Time and it's hard to get a room. I wonder what that Cancun joint charges then.

Have and good luck!  I'm heading to Laughlin with my group of 17 on November 6.

Is it just really big, or does it have a water slide or something?  I looked at the rooms on line about a year ago and was not impressed. Thought maybe they had upgraded them.

I'd more inclined to stay at the Hilton Garden Inn across LV Blvd using my Hilton Honors points than staying at the Cancun.  But it is really close to the Southpoint, especially if that's your casino of choice.  Also not too far from the Rainbow or Emerald Island to take advantage of LVA coupons and their myriad of casino promotions, or Green Valley Ranch.
