Heading to Purdue for three nights

Purdue is in the Final Four.  Five of us from San Diego, San Diego, Houston, Chicago, and me from Indy are heading to watch the game(s) amoungst Purdue loyalist.  Booked an AirBNB about 2 miles from campus.  Should be a hoot, especially if we win both games.

I win my bracket pool if UCONN wins it all but I wouldnt be upset if Purdue won...

NC State has been the real cinderella.  How many 11 seeds have made the final four in history.  Cant be more than a few..

I actually wouldn't mind seeing NC State and UCONN make it to the finals for both men and women tournaments.  But Purdue and UCONN is more likely for the men and South Carolina is on another level on the women's side.

He will, until Purdue loses and he blames the "Libs" (whoever they are!).

I've never really understood why college sports are so popular, but rooting for "your" team is always a big thing, so I get it that with a very few exceptions, being in the Final Four is a rare, maybe even a once-in-a-lifetime event. The silly conceit is that those "elite" teams are anything other than professional teams and that their "students" are anything other than professional athletes.

I remember when I was in college, there were some football players "enrolled" in a couple of my classes; they sat in the back and were "exempt" from assignments, tests, or final exams. The head coach of the football team made sixteen times as much as the dean of the university. Priorities! LOL.

Have fun.

I finally watched the women's tournament and saw what all the ruckus about Kaitlan Clark was about.   She's for real.    She was hitting three's all night long a full 4 feet behind the line.

They say she's going to be drafted by the Indiana Fever next year.  I'll be getting tickets if she does.

How fun!  Enjoy the games, fun, friendship, travel, everything.

Candy

Purdue vs. UConn.  Should be a pretty good one Monday Night.

Fun win last night.  I'm a bit bleary eyed this morning, but happy.  The bar we were in was rocking.
