Bankrupt oil company uses Stumulus money to pay severence packages to Execs
Diamond Offshore was on its way to bankruptcy court when they applied and received 9 million dollars of tax payers dollars from the CARES ACT They used it to pay a 1 million dollar bonus to 9 of its executives .
I titled this thread incorrectly by calling this action "fraud". It isn't. Its actually 100% legal and within the boundaries set by the bill that was passed. The fraud would be the lawmakers who sponcered this provision as come kind of effort to help the little guy.
