Here's how impeachment will go

1. A vote will be held, as soon as a few days from now, on beginning an impeachment inquiry. The vote will pass in favor of it. (It probably would have failed before Trump's idiot Ukrainian espionage blunder.)

2. All of the stuff that Trump's been holding out will be subject to more subpoenas. Unlike before, Trump won't be able to simply ignore them. Staffers will be jailed for contempt until they sing. There is the possibility of Trump himself being held in contempt of Congress. (Imagine Trump being led from the White House in handcuffs.)

3. The articles of impeachment will be drawn up and voted on. The vote will probably be split along party lines; however, Republican Congressmen who are vulnerable for re-election in 2020 may defect. In either case, the House will vote to impeach.

4. Criminal charges against Trump will almost certainly be filed as well.

5. The impeachment articles will be presented to the Senate.

6. The vote there will be split along party lines--but everyone will note the votes of the vulnerable Republican senators.

7. The Senate will refuse to impeach Trump.

8. The Republican senators who voted against impeachment and are up for re-election in 2020 will just have handed their opponents a huge stick with which to beat them. The Senate races will be a rout, and the Democrats--and democracy itself--will resume control of the Senate.

9. Joe Biden, greatly strengthened by Trump's espionage attacks against him, will slaughter Trump in the 2020 election.

10. The Republican party will be outlawed. (Probably not, just kidding, but it will be marginalized as the dank, musty haven of racists, white supremacists, fascists, nativists, and other associated wingnuts.)

Let's hear them Trumper bleats! I know they will be bleats of pain.

I think you could make a good case that Trump never wanted the Presidency and doesn't really want to be re-elected. After all, he lived like a king before, and could commit crimes with MUCH less scrutiny.

More "wisdom" from the mind of Kevin. Sigh....

Just curious......what crime are the dems going to try to go with?  I would imagine there must be a crime that actually can prove to at least their followers.

Abuse of office and misconduct while in office. It is what the Impeachment clause was intended for. Here are a few.

1. The Ukraine Extortion

2. Misappropriation of the funds used to pay off Ukraine

3. Numerous Emoluments Clause violations

4. Misappropriation of military funds to keep his Turnberry Resort Afloat

5. Illegally, withholding any documents that Congress by law is entitled to

Then there are the criminal code violations.

1.  The two felony campaign finance violations.

2.   The eight or so counts of obstruction of justice that Muller found evidence of

Furthermore, you can argue a lot of this misconduct was all about the same thing. The illegal pornstar payoffs, the obstruction of justice to keep us from finding out the truth about Trump's involvement with Russian help in the last election and the Ukranian extortion all revolve around rigging elections for Trump.

Nobody can answer what is the difference between what Biden actually did & what Trump allegedly did.

The Turnberry contract was signed when Obama was president.

That is because even Fox News says there is no evidence Biden did anything wrong in Ukraine.

It wasn't the Turnberry contract. It was a contract that the military could use the commercial airport some 39 miles away from Trump's Turnberry Resort.
