HOA threatens American flag-flying homeowners as they fight for Old Glory before nation’s 250th birthday

The insanity in California escalates  - As Americans prepare to celebrate the nation's 250th birthday, homeowners in an upscale Southern California community say they're being threatened with fines for flying Old Glory. ---  Residents in San Marcos, whose townhome community is governed by the Ambiance Owners Association, are refusing to remove American flags displayed outside their homes despite notices from the homeowners' association.  --- https://www.foxnews.com/us/hoa-threatens-american-flag-flying-homeowners-fight-old-glory-nations-250th-birthday

I hope those advocating for the flag are successful.   How ridiculous.   Fly the flag.

The homeowners signed the HOA agreement, and they have to abide by it. Maybe it's "ridiculous," but they agreed to it.

It's not a matter of "advocating for the flag"; it's a matter of not bothering your neighbors. Ostentatious displays, even if they're "patriotic," even if it's the Fourth, aren't allowed by that HOA.

I personally loathe HOAs and would never live in a community governed by one. But everyone there signed up with eyes wide open. You can't play the Star Spangled Banner at 100 decibels over and over in that neighborhood; you can't shoot off fireworks, etc. etc. Fox Nooze is painting this "issue" as a matter of patriotism. It's not. It's about breach of contract.

I think the HOA should suspend its rules for this holiday period, but all it would take is one person complaining, and their hands are tied. So they're enforcing the rules. Big whoop. Take your flag down to the city park and wave it all you want.

MAGA doesn't realize that the flag isn't patriotism--it's just a symbol of it. But like the Nazis and Soviets, MAGA has always been big on symbology. And of course, Miller is using this non-issue as an excuse to bitch bitch bitch about California.

Everything you say here is horseshit - California is so fucked up I don't know how anyone can stand to live in such a sickening state. Liberals and DemocRATs have screwed up everything - California is swirling the bowl. And fuck you Lewis for making this all about me - you son of a bitch.

Go to HOA board meetings. Change the rules.

No "perhaps" about it - get rid of these anti America morons.

I say perhaps because I'm guessing that not all board members want the rule.

If there are board members that want to allow the flags and want the rule changed then why get rid of them?

Why throw the baby out with the bath water?

If you noticed, I did not say get rid of ALL of them.
