I've always wondered why conservitards think socialism is so awful. I know that a lot of conservitards are doddering old white fucks who grew up when everyone was told to be afraid of THEM COMMIES. They didn't understand that them eeeeevil Russkies weren't socialists, despite the name they gave their nation. Heck, they weren't even actual communists, for that matter.
There are many nations today that have socialism as their primary economic model, and quite a few of those nations are doing remarkably well and are prosperous and happy. And yes, I know about Venezuela Venezuela Venezuela OH MY GOD VENEZUELA!!!!!!
Furthermore, we have many elements of socialism in our own government, economy, and institutions. Twelve years of free school--that's socialist. Free public libraries--that's socialist. The free-to-travel interstate highway system--that's socialist. Government-sponsored retirement plan--that's socialist. Low-cost health care for seniors--that's socialist.
Socialism. Socialism! SOOOOOOOOCIALISM!!!! The conservitard boogeyman.
